Features of House
The house is ideally situated in the centre of the town of Villebois. The upper rear garden occupies the very top of the hill with beautiful views across valleys in all directions. The 10m x 5 metre heated pool is sited at one end of the upper garden, providing privacy but at the same time allowing the magnificent view of the town and fields below. You actually look over the church roof.
The house has 5 bedrooms; two of them are adjoining and can be used as either separate bedroom sharing a bathroom, or as a bedroom with separate sitting room. The master bedroom opens to the loggia--a perfect place to enjoy a private morning coffee with fresh pastries from the boulangerie about 100 metres down the street.
There are 4 bathrooms, three with both bath-tub and shower, the other with shower only. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor.
The ground floor has a large dining room with a table suitable for seating 10 people, and a lounge for enjoying the evening after a day of relaxing by the pool or sight-seeing around the beautiful countryside. The fully-equiped kitchen has all new appliances--dishwasher, stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave.
The entire house has been fully restored by local artisans under the direction of a local architect, who also has two years overseas experience in the U.S.A.
There is an enclosed back garden, which in turn leads up to the expansive upper garden at top of hill. Or sit across the street in the front garden, with its magnificent Pawlonia tree.
